FB is so last year. They’ve been losing users. On the other hand, given their practices, it is not clear whether the figure of 175 million includes ‘dormant’ accounts – people who have shut down their accounts but FB doesn’t delete them. Whether FB does or not, I don’t think we should consider them ‘users’.

They’re just now experiencing rapid growth outside of the teenage and college age demographic. Users in their 30’s and over have been all over the blogs about how Facebook is a way for them to reconnect or remember their past.

They’re at a 175 million already, but even with the incredible growth curve, there’s not enough time to get to 200 million in 2 weeks.
